The Town of Edinburg owns and operates seven cemeteries throughout the town. The Town Highway Superintendent, Marvin Wilson and the highway employees take care of all operations and maintenance. The cemeteries are Anderson Cemetery on South Shore Road, Batchellerville Cemetery on South Shore Road, Edinburg Cemetery on Northville Road, Partridge Cemetery on Sinclair Road, Clarkville Cemetery on Tennantville Road, Robinson Cemetery on Airport Road and Edinburg Hill Cemetery on Military Road. Plots are available for sale in Robinson and Clarkville and may be purchased by contacting the Town Hall.

Town Court and Highway Department
The former town hall located at 47 Military Road has been converted to a community center and town court space. The senior meal site remains at the community center. The center is available for community use by residents. Please contact the town hall for information on using the center.
The Edinburg Emergency Squad is located on North Shore Road, next to the Nellie Tyrrell Museum. The Squad is run completely by volunteers. Ambulance service is dispatched through the Saratoga County 911 emergency system.

The Edinburg Volunteer Fire Company provides fire protection to the community. Their building is located on North Shore Road next to the Edinburg Rural Museum. Fire calls are dispatched through the Saratoga County 911 emergency system.

Rural Museum
The Town of Edinburg owns two museums, the Nellie Tyrrell and the Rural Museum, which are operated by the Edinburg Historical Society. Both museums are located on North Shore Road adjacent to the Edinburg Four Corners. The Nellie Tyrrell houses a large collection of photographs and written items as well as small historical items. The Rural Museum contains exhibits of large items including a wood working shop, a late 1800's kitchen and early logging equipment.

The Town of Edinburg provides refuse, reuse and recycling services to Edinburg residents. John Olmstead is in charge of the collection program and facility. The Recycling, Reuse and Refuse Collection Center hours are:
Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm, 5/04/08 - 10/26/08
(Closed Fridays 1/01/08 - 4/26/08 and 11/07/08 - 12/31/08).
Saturday 9:00am to 3:00pm
Senior Meal site
The Town of Edinburg hosts a senior meal site and home delivered meals program sponsored by Saratoga County.
The meal site is located at the Edinburg Community Center 47 Military
Road. The site manager is Irene Brown. Meals are served daily at 12:00pm (11:45am on Friday) and require a reservation 24 hours in advance. Meals are also delivered daily to seniors who are unable to come to the site. The suggested donation is $2.00.

Senior Transportation
Saratoga County has added the Town of Edinburg to the communities that are
provided senior transportation. It will be available to ambulatory
residents who are age 60 or older. This means that transportation will be
provided Tuesday through Thursday during the hours between 9:00am and
4:00pm. Tuesdays trips will be to Ballston Spa, Burnt Hills and the
Glenville area. Wednesdays will be to Saratoga Springs and the Wilton area
and Thursdays will be to the Amsterdam and Gloversville area. The
transportation is provided for medical appointments, grocery shopping,
nutrition sites and personal trips (eg. malls, drugstore, senior center).
The transportation service will also be provided to the May Senior
Luncheon and the August Senior Picnic. Reservations must be made 24 hours
in advance with the Saratoga County Office of the Aging by calling
884-4100 before noon the day before.
The Town of Edinburg maintains a park and swimming area at the base of the Batchellerville Bridge. The park is open in July and August when lifeguards are on duty. If the lifeguards are not on duty the park is closed. You must have a resident permit to use the park.

Town residents with a valid NYS Fishing License and a Town of Edinburg
Resident Permit will be issued a no fee permit to fish from the Town of
Edinburg Park during hours when the park is closed for swimming.
